Do you as client want solid ground under your feet, a firm foundation for your new project? You can rely on our foundation engineering expertise: the BERGER GROUP's wide range of construction services includes a foundation engineering division. A fundamental plus for you as a client with a focus on value.

Construction pits
BERGER construction pits offer you complete excavation safety. They are planned individually for each construction project and completed ready for use. The methods employed are primarily determined by the geological conditions and availability of space.

Bored piles
Large bored piles are required for foundations when high loads have to be transferred to deeper layers of the ground. Micropiles are used mainly where space is lacking or for buoyancy control of sealing slabs and buildings.

Injection technology
Our construction pit services are complemented by safety procedures using anchor works, reinforcement and jet grouted slabs.
Besides the production of construction pits as a complete service, we also supply the specified individual works for construction pit walls.

Diaphragm and cut-off walls
BERGER Grundbautechnik is proficient in all standard foundation techniques such as diaphragm and cut-off walls. Diaphragm walls are executed vertically directly in the foundation. They are produced by a grab or cutting method. After manufacturing the guide wall to support and guide the grab, the diaphragm elements are excavated using a fluid support (bentonite slurry). Diaphragm walls can perform both structural and sealing functions. Depending on the type of grab, wall thicknesses of 0.4 to 2.0 metres with depths of 20 to 40 metres can be produced.

Site optimisation
BERGER Grundbautechnik also supplies solutions for site improvement, land reclamation and land recycling – BERGER Grundbautechnik is equipped with the complete range of site optimisation technologies including low-pressure injection technology. We carry out construction pit stabilisation using single pile foundations, group pile foundations and combined pile cap foundations.
